If the surface is too dry or acidic, it will delay or prevent curing, while wetter or alkaline surfaces will accelerate the process.
Due to high vapor pressure and moisture on surrounding surfaces, a white deposit may appear around the bonding point (known as blooming). This blooming is cured vapor escaping from the adhesive. It can be removed with acetone, for example. However, ensure that the surfaces of the part to be cleaned are also resistant to acetone. Blooming can be prevented/reduced by economical use of adhesive, ensuring adequate humidity, and ventilating the work area.
Due to its gel consistency, the cyanoacrylate structural adhesive is an ideal solution for bonding overhead or on vertical surfaces. Klebfix GEL ensures stable adhesive drops and prevents the adhesive from running. The instant adhesive is suitable for bonding profile rubbers of wooden and plastic windows, applying markings, bonding rubber seals, repairing broken edges, etc.
The surface to be treated should be clean, dry, and grease-free. For pre-treatment, please refer to the technical data sheet. Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive to only one of the surfaces to be bonded. To ensure full contact, press the surfaces together with adequate force for immediate bonding.
