Field of application

The P100E 4” threading machine is an ideal choice for threading galvanized and carbon steel pipes, especially for jobs where a large quantity and large diameter of threads are required.

Typical application areas:

• Installation of water main pipes
• Fire water mains
• Installation of sprinkler systems

Use and operation

The P100E threading machine is suitable for threading all standard inch-sized pipes from ½” up to 4” in diameter.
The built-in oil pump directly oils the threading dies, ensuring a long life for the dies and accurate, clean threads.

Work is greatly facilitated by the large, built-in roller pipe cutter and the pipe deburring unit, which allow for complete pipe preparation on a single machine.

The machine is started, stopped, and the direction of rotation is controlled by push buttons located on the side of the machine.
The two-speed drive can be adjusted with a selector lever:

• Normal speed (25 rpm): for ½” – 2” pipe sizes
• Reduced speed (10 rpm): for 2½” - 4” pipe sizes

Threading heads and dies

The machine has two automatic threading heads:

• for ½” – 2” size range
• for 2½” – 4” size range

The smaller threading head comes with two sets of dies:

• ½” – ¾”
• 1” – 2”

The automatic threading heads automatically disengage when the set thread length is reached, thereby increasing accuracy and work safety.

Safety information

• Before operating the machine, always check that there is a sufficient amount of threading oil or emulsion.
  Operation of the machine without a minimum of 1.5 liters of oil is prohibited.
• For pipe diameters above 2”, the machine can only be used at reduced speed (10 rpm).
• When machining longer pipes, the use of a pipe stand is mandatory.
  The rolling pipe height of the pipe stand must be adjusted to the center height of the threading machine's spindle.
  Without proper support, the pipe cannot be securely fixed, which can lead to damage to the threading head or dies.
